Home videos

Here's another little home video Kei Acedera secretly took of me when I was driving in traffic for 2hrs when it should have only taken me 20min... Thanks Kei!

Here's a home video presentation of Bobby Chiu & ChanP for a book cover we did of a book called "Half Minute Horrors" I figure it might be interesting in the future if I could put some home videos ...

a bit of wallpapering

I have finally finished the hallway. I couldn't face throwing away the old chest of drawers I got from my granddad. Instead I wallpapered it and changed the handles.

a woman's work is never done

Today I have
  • bleached the bathroom
  • repotted some plants
  • made a huge pot of bolognese
  • made a meatloaf
  • made a beancrock
  • done 7 loads of laundry
  • dusted and hoovered the flat
  • written on my essay
and I have by no means finished all the jobs I should do today.

Moldy Oldies: Mini

Um... wow, Friday is almost over, and I totally zoned on posting a blog. Culpa mea, dear reader. I blame pumpkin pie overdose.

Here's another illustration drawn for an animation pitch circa 2003:

Today's drawing was the first in a series--this batch of drawings was a big turning point for me in terms of drawing, coloring, and generally being able to finish pieces. Okay, back to the pumpkin pie!

when you feel like a candy in a cup: lichee

when it's cold, dark and you feel under the weather: lapsang suchong

when it's cold, dark and you feel good: chai

when you have friends around for tea: brunkullan

for a long, lasy breakfast in bed: black currant

just another day

Having cats are wonderful. You're never alone. And I mean NEVER!

"Are you in the kitchen? I'm watching your every move from out here!"

"Are you getting dressed for work? We're watching you from up here!"

"Are you cooking? I'm keeping an eye out on you from in here!"

"What's this new piece of furniture doing here? We're checking it out for you!"

"Are you reading this paper? No, surely you want to cuddle us instead? Please?!"

prettyprettyknittyknitty. this demands a cuddle

Other than the fact that this kid is holding some kind of PDA, I think this piece holds up pretty well, six years later. Geez kid, get a Blackberry or something, will ya?

too bad we couldn't sneak our way in...

from me to you

It's that time of year again. When everything is dark, cold, damp and generally uninspiring. I wake up and it's dark. I leave work and it's dark.

I don't seem to get energy from anything. All I want to do is sleep. Literally. I slept 13 hours each night over the weekend. And quite frankly I could've stayed in bed all day if it wasn't for the cats wanting a bit of interaction.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not feeling depressed or nothing. Just tired and drained of energy. And so tonight I recieved a most wonderful email. It made me smile from ear to ear and fill my heart with warmth and gratitude of having such wonderful friends all around the world. Isn't it amazing how a few simple words can effect you in such a positive manner?

So, from me to you:

That's how nice I am to my friends! :-)
