Subway Sketching and Pen Drawings

Here's a bunch of sketches. The yellow ones are from subway sketching and the rest were done on my recent trip to France. It's subtle but I think my sketches changed a bit during my time there.

Some people ask me why the yellow paper...
No reason. I found a stack of old yellow paper in a drawer and didn't want it to go to waste.

Subway Sketching is still on but Kei and I will not be there.

Hi everyone,

Sorry for the short notice but Subway Sketching is still on today but Kei and I will not be there. Our buddy Fez will be organizing things for us this weekend. Thanks Fez!
We'll be at Gerald Zeldin's Art Show. Usually we wouldn't miss out on subway sketching for any reason but it's important to show your respect for the people that have greatly influenced our (Kei and I) lives. Gerry is one of them.

Bobby

He-man Fan Art contest was a blast! Thanks to all for their wonderful submissions. Kei and I will each pick a favorite and announce it on Friday September 7th. The 2 people that we pick will get our fan art sketches sent to them in the mail. This was a wonderful excuse to do something fun, free and not work related! Thanks everyone for participating!

It's going to be very exciting and fun for us so I hope you can come make it. We're also going to be premiering Imaginism Studios' 7th book - Subway Sketches. I hear the Globe and Mail (Canada's national newspaper) is going to be there as well.

Our Subway Sketches book is full of observational drawings, tips and tutorials as well as some killer guest artists!

Guest Artists
Louie del Carmen
Thierry Lafontaine <-- Thierry will also be there to sign books on Saturday

Subway Sketching is back on! ..and Motorcity con Review

And we're back from our little adventure in the Motorcity con! Though the attendance was not amazing, it was nice to meet new faces and for once, we really got to walk around and visit all the artists that came. Among the great artists that we had the pleasure to see again and meet for the first time were Sergio Aragones, Stan Sakai and Guy Davis..just amazing people. If you haven't heard of them, you should. All in all, it was a cute and modest con--and its only gonna get bigger!

So Subway sketching will resume this week as normal..hope to see you there!

Here's something I did from the line..
